4. Is an online credit card booking safe?
Yes, it is perfectly safe; with our online payment service you run no risks. If you in any case prefer not to use your card on the web you can simply print the request form in the appropriate section of our website and send it together with the details of your credit card by fax. If you prefer you can simply phone them to us. If you have no credit card or do not want to use it, you can always book by sending the deposit by bank draft or whatever other creative means you might like to dream up and that we’ve not thought of.
5. Can I book without a credit card?
Yes. If you don’t have a card or prefer not to use it, you can always pay by bank draft, with a Western Union money transfer or by any other means you wish
6. Do I need to pay a deposit in order to receive confirmation of my booking?
If you pay by credit card, no. You simply authorize Rent Rome Apartments to debit your card in the following cases and for the following amounts:
- Cancellation of booking for an apartment between 30 and 14 days before arrival: 50% of total amount due
- Cancellation of booking for an apartment at less than 14 days notice: 100% of total amount due
- Cancellation of booking of an apartment on day of arrival or without giving notice: 100% of full amount due.If you book with a bank draft or Western Union money transfer, yes, as follows:
- 20% of the total amount due;
7. If I have booked by credit card, can I pay by other means when I arrive?
Yes, you can pay by cash as an alternative.
8. If I cancel a booking do I have to in any case pay a penalty?
No, if you cancel prior to 30 days since time of arrival you don’t have to pay any kind of penalty. The only cost you will incur is that of the bank charges incurred by Rent Rome Apartments for the restitution of your deposit if you have paid it by bank draft. You may choose whatever means you prefer for the restitution of the deposit: Western Union is quick but costly; bank draft is cheaper but slower.
9. Is the confirmation of booking for an apartment always immediate?
Not always, but yes if you book via the automatic form on the website, giving your credit card details. In all other cases you will have a 48 hour option (no-one else will be able to book the apartment you’ve chosen) and you will receive confirmation when you:
- Call in, fax or e-mail your credit-card details
- Call in, fax or e-mail the details for your payment by draft or Western Union money transfer
The above-mentioned operations must be carried out within 48 hours of booking if one wants to be certain of confirmation of booking for the apartment chosen. If for whatever reason more time passes, you can contact us by phone or e-mail to ensure that the apartment is still free. Should this be the case, we will be delighted to confirm your booking as soon as you give us the necessary information (credit-card number or details of your bank draft or Western Union payment). Should the apartment of your choice not be available, we shall be happy to offer you a suitable alternative.
10. If I am traveling and cannot access Internet can I book an apartment or ask for other services offered on your website?
Yes, just call us and we’ll be delighted to give you all the help we can. We can also text message your mobile phone with all necessary information (deposit amount, address of the apartment etc.)
